Best road performance tyre there is
Read a few comments about poor tyre wear. We run these on a V8 Commodore - 20" wheels with 285/35R20 on the rear and 245/35R20 on the front. Car has 550 rwhp, and these are the only tyres that grip in all conditions. Usual wear on these is around 40,000km. Also fitted to a custom restomod 1970 Chev C10 with about 600 rwhp. Need these for grip, work exceptionally. Haven't done lots on kilometre, but tyre performance is the most important attribute for our vehicles. We have a tyre & mechanical business and have the option to fit any brand. Will not fit anything else.
Amazing
Extemely grippy. Gave me the confidence to do whatever i wanted in wet weather knowing i would be safe.
Beware
Beware, I bought 2 rears for my M140i, car went straight for an MOT after fitting, less than 2 miles away. Just to find out they only come with 7mm of tread, as apposed to the normal 8/9mm the mot inspector gave my brand new tyres a 75% wear rating. How can this be, no wonder they had to be replaced way sooner than I expected.
Perfect all round weather
I used to struggle during rainy season with other tyre brands. It would feel like I’m skating on ice, had no confidence at all driving in the wet. I decided to break the bank and get the pilot sport 4s, man they didn’t disappoint. I have less road noise. While others struggle in the wet I would cruise nicely. My car gives brilliant feedback and I feel in control. Worth every penny
Not the best for daily driving
I was left really disappointed after buying the ps4s tyres (235/35/19) as they really didn't perform well in colder temps. Once they were up to temp they were really great. But how often do you get your tyres up to temp on a daily run about. I found the PS4 tyres I had previously much more suited for daily driving. The performance difference is also very marginal for most driving conditions, The PS4s does hold up on track better. For a weekend sports car or similar they are great. I opted to change to the Conti SC7 (PS5 was not available yet) which I find a much better all round UUHP tyre. My only real issue with the PS4s was the initial grip, especially in colder weather and especially braking.
Michelin 4s are world class
I've used different brands of tyres over many years. And michelin 4s have been the best I've ever used. Well done Michelin.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on a BMW 220i
Woodford car hire's BMW 220i during March 2023 was riding on the said Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres , which obviously added on the Rear-wheel Driven BMW's tagline :- Sheer Driving Pleasure.
Trusting my life on PS4S
For high speeds and mountain roads, you cannot take any chances. Tyres are what keeps you alive. PS4S tyres give me the comfort that I am safe at any speeds
Best performance car tyres!
I replaced the standard brand on both my M5's with these and instantly saw a marked improvement in handling, cornering, braking and general road noise. This tyre has become my favourite and one i will constantly use due its all round wet & dry performance which inspires confidence and a strong sense of safety in the way I drive my car.
Awesome Tire
Best tire in class but just getting a little expensive to justify the price.
