Michelin Pilot Sport 4
I have had Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres on my VW Passat R36 for 9 months now. I have to say that it’s the best set of tyres which I have ever experienced. It gives me complete confidence in corners in both wet & dry conditions. The grip is like no other.

Best tyre i have had for city and country driving in wet or dry,even have Michelin on my motor bike(Kawasaki ZZR1100).No other tyre can match them.

Great tyre throughout its life
You know that instant feeling when you get new tyres and how great they feel on the road. Well not with the Pilot Sport 4. Even when they had passed their wear marks and needed to be replaced, they still had the grip like new. Putting new Pilot Sport 4 tyres on a second time around didn't feel any different to the old Pilot Sport 4 tyres they had just replaced.
Great Tyre with only one small Achilles heel - wear.
The Pilot Sport 4 is a great tyre, with only one significant drawback - wear. These tyres grip like smelly brown stuff on a picnic blanket. Wet or dry they instil SO much confidence, I was sceptical at first, but they were truly amazing. I know the PS4S is even grippier (and wear out faster!), but for an all-round tyre, these are truly amazing. I actually had two sets of these tyres - the factory fitted tyres were a staggered setup, and when they wore out (the rears went first, despite being wider than the fronts and the fronts doing all the work turning and stopping - I guess 274kW and 510Nm in an 1800kg RWD car in a will do that) at about 20,000km, I switched to a 'square' setup on new wheels. If anything, this actually balanced the car better (and I'd learned to be more careful with the accelerator!), helping the car to go, stop and turn with better feel and capability than with the staggered setup. Feel in particular is important to me when driving, and the PS4 delivers here - at both ends of the car the communication of what was happening on the road was great, and without being harsh to drive on as some sports tyres (particularly in low profiles) can be. The second set of these tyres I had were actually on a 1" smaller wheel (and thus had a higher profile/sidewall), and if there was a loss of communication/feel or control by making that change, I honestly could not feel it. The Pilot Sport 5 has been released now, and by all reports addresses the issue of tyre wear whilst actually improving the other qualities of the tyre. I've got a new car now, and when the tyres it came with are due to be replaced, I'll be doing the same thing as I did on the previous car - going for a set of Pilot Sport 5 tyres on a new set of 1" smaller wheels than factory spec, and I know that I'll be getting a great result.
Great performance all rounder
I enjoy performance cars and after years of trying different tyres settled on Michelin PS4s as my first preference for all my vehicles. I love the grip in the wet, the dry performance and overall low noise of the tyres at a sensible price point.

I was very motivated to replace the run flat tires on my car when I bought it with Michelin PS4s and the difference after just a few minutes put a big smile on my face: better grip, less noise and a much improved overall stability. I wouldn't buy any other brand.
