The acoustic lining came away and caused vibration - no warranty from Michelin in UK!

After 14000 miles I had a problem with my car with road vibration. The Volvo dealer suspected it could be the acoustic lining in these tyres which were fitted to it from new. The lining had come away and gathered in one spot, causing the problem. Volvo didn't cover the failure (even though car still under warranty) and when I asked Michelin customer service they just told me Michelin tyres don't have any warranty in the UK!

A GEM from Michelin

I've had about 10 cars all with various other tyre brands. My new Q5 has the Michelin Latitude Sport 3's. At first I was concerned about its offroad ability as it looks sport orientated. Even as a heavy critic, I am absolutely blown away by these tyres. They have awesome dry and wet handling on road and superb offroad ability (for a UHP tyre). The side walls are very strong- didn't have a single failure/puncture with really harsh offroad conditions. The dry road grip makes the car behave like a sports car. My only gripe may be that they only lasted around 30,000kms - but they were pushed. I have a new respect for Michelin and cab state that these tyres are worth the extra money.

30 years of Michelin no more!

Have always purchased Michelin, had two of these fitted to our Q5, one catastrophically failed after 412 miles where the side wall and tread face ruptured at low speed. Michelin agreed to refund the cost of the tyre but not the fitting, not concerned that their product failure caused significant aggravation and additional expense. As a result Pirelli only from now on for me, Michelin may manufacture pretty good tyres but not when they fail within a short distance and their production process is brought into doubt on safety grounds.........

Impressive

Bought these tires (255/60R17 106V) in October 2017, and put 34,000 km (21,250 mi) on them so far. They have been rotated and road force balanced every 10,000 km (6,250 mi), both cross and back to front. The first thing I immediately noticed was braking. The grip is just legendary. ABS had the tendency to kick in on certain road surfaces, and it no longer does with the Latitude Sport 3. I feel much more confident when it comes to emergency stops in both wet and dry conditions, and there is noticeably less wheel spin under sudden, aggressive acceleration from standstill. They do feel a bit on the soft side in comparison to the Pirelli Scorpion Verde and Scorpion Verde All-Season Plus tires I've had before, especially when it comes to cornering, despite running the same tire pressures (36 PSI). Perhaps that is the only downside for me, although these tires do run quieter, and ride comfort is excellent to say the least - even with stiffer springs and Bilstein shocks on all four corners. While I tend to replace my tires every 3 years due to extreme weather conditions, these tires still have quite a bit of life left in them. When the time comes, I will be getting a second set of these tires.

Tesla Model X 100D

These tyres were bought almost as soon as I received my car. They are very quiet tyres and provide very good grip in whatever the weather. Braking is very good

Merc ML 63 AMG W166

Had these on my car when I bought my car. These tires were fantastic. Went to renew them and a reputable tyre dealer sold me on P Zeros as OEM ... they were rubbish in feel and wore quickly. Merc dealer put me back on Michelin Lattitude and they are superb! Awesome feel and long lasting.
