Michelin’s first ‘TyrePlus’ store in Haridwar

Haridwar, May 6, 2011: Michelin Tyres, the world leader in tyre technology announced the launch of its concept store ‘TyrePlus’ in Haridwar today, which will also be the first branded retail experience to be offered by any player in the industry. Through this new touch point at Sachdeva Enterprises; Michelin will bring to the city a state-of-the art retail experience for consumers. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Chandan Thakur, National Sales Manager - Passenger Cars and Light Trucks, Michelin India and Mr. Pankaj Sachdeva, Owner Sachdeva Enterprises along with other officials & guests.
The TYREPLUS store is located centrally at the premium location of Sri Ram Nagar, Haridwar. Spread over a total area of around 3200 sqft, the showroom has a pleasant ambience and an innovative display of Tyres and accessories. It also has a workshop, fully-equipped with latest machinery to handle all tyre and vehicle related services, an exercise undertaken by Michelin Tyres for all its TYREPLUS outlets across the world. The store has a strong team of 12 executives all trained in required technical skills. As part of the TYREPLUS Programme, Michelin would also provide the team with scheduled trainings encompassing product, soft and management skills etc.
Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Chandan Thakur, National Sales Manager, Michelin India said, “The Indian auto industry is witnessing tremendous growth. With many car makers lining up their offerings for Indian buyers, the market is expanding rapidly and so do the opportunities for us. Michelin continues to launch new products, expand the distribution network and work towards strengthening the partnerships with OE manufacturers in India. This new launch is a step in strengthening our distribution network.”
